Service Awards 

I received 1 of 20 University Service Awards (for the entire class of 2020) for my three years of interning at the UCSB Alcohol and Drug Program. My work was starting conversations when the campus was going through a digital—and ideological—transformation surrounding substance education.

Overheard at UCSB's One-Year Anniversary

A friend and I founded a Facebook group for UCSB to document the quirky quotes we heard around campus. One year and 20,000 members later, we were interviewed for our group's impact on the campus community.

Making Eavesdropping a Shared Experience

The community of UC Santa Barbara has a unique culture built upon the choices and characters of its rambunctious residents. I launched "Overheard at UCSB" to capture the beloved day-to-day oddities of our college experiences.

Legends of Isla Vista

A creative contest was held in UCSB's Greek Mythology course (CLAS40), taught by Dr. Francis Dunn. Contestants had to apply Ancient Greek lore to the community of UCSB. I created a comic portraying the Olympians fighting to be the patron god of Isla Vista.

Bay Alarm Medical Scholarship Winner

I was awarded a $2,000 college scholarship from Bay Alarm Medical for writing an essay about my grandfather. Read it here.

Eating Disorders Center of Los Gatos Essay Winner

I was awarded a $200 prize from EDRC of Los Gatos for an essay highlighting the effects of the media on self-confidence and body image. Read it here.
